Jay Chapel's Mark Peruch engraved the following text on the commemorative granite monument, dedicated during the ceremony:

MADERA REMEMBERS

"For the Unity of the residents of Madera and in the memory of those who gave their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the United States of America."

Give Madera, GOD, a kindness that goes beyond a friendly smile;
Give Madera a caring spirit, Willing to share another's trial.
Give Madera a tender patience only Your mercy can impart,
Combined with the understanding and discernment of the heart.
