September 30, 2002 Information Security Advisory Internet Worm Alert: W32.Bugbear@mm is a mass-mailing worm. It can also spread through Network shares. It has backdoor capabilities. If you use Symantec's Antivirus, please go to the Intelligent Updater (Updated daily) right now and dowload the latest virus definitions, then run a system scan. The LiveUpdate weekly updates will not be ready until Wednesday. Another antivirus vendor, Sophos, issued a warning earlier today.
